Having taken the world cinema stage by storm with his 1998 war drama TRAIN OF LIFE, French-Romanian filmmaker Radu Mihaileanu's recent absence from cinema has been greatly felt.
Now he's back with THE CONCERT.
Starring the beguiling Mélanie Laurent (INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS) and the legendary French actress Miou-Miou (THE SCIENCE OF SLEEP), THE CONCERT begins 30 years ago, when the famed conductor, Andreï Simoinovitch Filipov (Aleksei Guskov), was relieved of his duties after hiring Jewish musicians to play in the Bolshoï Orchestra.
Shunned by his peers, Filipov assembles his own orchestra of has-been musicians and embarks on an audacious journey that will lead him to reclaim his crown in present-day Paris.
