Synopsis

Angelina Jolie (CHANGELING) has spent the last few years of her career honing her action heroine credentials. Indeed, the script for SALT was rewritten with Jolie in mind, following the departure of Tom Cruise from the project.

In a similar vein to her kick-ass performance in 2008's WANTED, Jolie plays CIA spook Evelyn Salt, who's blacklisted as an enemy of the state after a defector accuses her of being a KGB spy. With agency chief Ted Winter (Schreiber, REPO MEN) on her tail, Salt must now evade capture and gather the evidence needed to clear her name.

A sexy, high-octane action thriller, SALT looks set to consolidate Jolie as a serious action movie lead.
