Aesthetica Short Film Festival
We are proud to host the launch night of the second Aesthetica Short Film Festival.
You can buy a ticket for the launch event here on our website, which includes an Aesthetica goodie-bag, a free drink, canapés, and an after-party in The Basement.
ASFF is organised by the art and culture publication Aesthetica Magazine. The festival champions and celebrates emerging filmmaking talent from around the world, and will be presenting films from more than 20 countries, spanning all genres, from comedy to drama, animation to documentary, and thriller to experimental.
This year’s masterclass hosts include BAFTA (on cinematography), Warp Films (on film production), Raindance, Channel 4, and award-winning screenwriter Matt Greenhalgh (NOWHERE BOY, CONTROL).
Following the launch at City Screen, other events include 'Meet the Filmmakers', and special screening programmes from BAFTA, Warp Films and Yorkshire Film Archive. This will be a weekend fuelled by creativity with the opportunity to experience the best in new and innovative independent filmmaking. We will be showing some of the shorts in The Basement throughout the festival, and you'll be able to get tasty takeaway tapas snacks from our Fusion Restaurant.
