This page explains the facilities for people with disabilities and is intended to assist you in planning your visit.

Advance booking is always a good idea so that our staff can readily provide any assistance you require. Accompanying carers are eligible for a free ticket. We will be pleased to reserve wheelchair spaces or seats in any particular part of the auditorium if this is helpful.

All areas of the building are accessible to customers with limited mobility, including wheelchair users. We can remove seats in each of the auditoria to accommodate wheelchairs. We recommend that you telephone to confirm availability and to book a space to avoid disappointment when you arrive.

The Box Office and bar have adapted counters and accessible levels for transactions.

Guide dogs are welcome at Stratford Picturehouse. If you wish to take a dog into a performance, please let us know when booking so we can arrange an aisle seat. Alternatively, your dog can be cared for by a member of staff for the duration of the performance. Our staff will be happy to provide drinking water for your dog.

Our stair rails have embossed tactile aids, which indicate the steps approaching each level. Three bumps mean that you are on the third step from the landing, two bumps mean that you are on the second step and one that you are on the final step.

There is an induction loop in the Box Office and infrared facilities in all three screens. To use the infrared system please ask for receiving equipment at the Box Office. You will be asked for a credit card or a £5.00 deposit for the equipment, which will be fully refunded on its return at the end of the screening.

Certain performances carry subtitles and these are clearly indicated in the programme.

There is a fully accessible separate toilet on the ground floor, which can be accessed with a radar key. There is an emergency call-point inside should you need to summon assistance.
