Show and Tell: where you choose the film. This month Mark Covell chose TOUCHING THE VOID
Every month we invite any podcasters, bloggers or customers to pick the film they would like to see - we'll screen it, they introduce it!
Mark currently lives in Stratford, having moved from Leeds to work on London 2012. He has been a regular visitor to Stratford Picturehouse while preparing for the Olympics and wanted to have the opportunity to choose the last film he'll see before the games start on 27 July.
"TOUCHING THE VOID, directed by Kevin Macdonald who recently made MARLEY, is an amazing film based on a true story, of dramatic survival against the odds on the side of a hostile mountain in South America. Brilliantly shot, the film develops an unusual but highly effective narrative style that takes you into the heart of Joe Simpson's physical and mental struggle for survival."
