Synopsis

From the director of INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE and MICHAEL COLLINS and starring Colin Farrell (IN BRUGES), ONDINE is a mystery drama set in a wind-buffeted seaside community in southern Ireland.

Recovering alcoholic Syracuse (Farrell) scratches a living together as a fisherman while caring for his sick daughter.

His life shows little sign of taking a turn for the better - until, one day at sea, he hauls up his net to find a living woman caught in it.

He brings to shore the beautiful and mysterious woman, whom he names Ondine and who begins to bring him good fortune, fuelling his daughter's belief that she is a selkie, the mythical sea creature.

But Ondine is also the harbinger of dark and unknown trouble in this atmospheric mix of folklore and thriller.
