We first team up with the Liverpool Irish Festival for JoyceDay on Sunday 14 October, celebrating all aspects of James Joyce, the man and his work. We are delighted to be screening John Huston's THE DEAD - based on a story from Dubliners, this is reckoned to be the best adaptation of one of Joyce's stories.
Next we welcome Dr Gerry Smyth from LJMU to introduce From the Margins of the Celtic Tiger, three features that dramatise the lives of some of those who, for whatever reason, missed out on 'the party':
15 October, 6.30 - INTERMISSION
16 October, 6.30 - GARAGE
17 October, 6.30 - THE ECLIPSE
Cork Film Festival is delighted to return to the Liverpool Irish Festival with two new programmes of the best, most creative short films made in Ireland. In these two programmes, we present documentaries, fiction, narrative and animation films, among other genres:
