Oscar-winning director Kevin Macdonald (STATE OF PLAY, THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND) returns to his first love, documentary, with this insightful portrait of Reggae legend Bob Marley.

Made with extensive input from the Marley family, fellow musicians, lovers and friends (including Rita Marley, Lee 'Scratch' Perry and Bunny Wailer), the film follows Marley from his impoverished childhood in Jamaica through his ascent to stardom to his battle with cancer and untimely death in 1981 aged 36.

With around 50 of Marley's songs, including some rare recordings, archival photos and previously unseen footage, this is a must-see for Marley fans and is sure to convert many more.
