Synopsis

Martin Scorsese reteams with AVIATOR screenwriter John Logan, for an adaptation of Brian Selznick's unforgettable children's story The Invention of Hugo Cabret. Asa Butterfield (THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PYJAMAS) is young Hugo, an orphan living secretly in a big train station in 1930s Paris.

When he encounters a broken robot-like machine, an eccentric girl, and a reserved old man who runs the toyshop, he is thrown into a magical, mysterious adventure that could put his clandestine life in jeopardy – or lead to something better. The all-star cast includes Ben Kingsley, Jude Law and Sacha Baron Cohen as the comedic station inspector.
