NBCQ: THE GOSPEL OF US plus Q&A at Hackney Picturehouse

With writer Owen Shears

Thursday 28 June, 6.30

In 2011 Michael Sheen (MIDNIGHT IN PARIS, THE DAMNED UNITED) took his Port Talbot Passion to the streets of his home town. THE GOSPEL OF US is Dave McKean's film of that unique 72-hour theatrical event. Sheen leads a cast of local actors, playing a Christ-like figure in a town overrun by authoritarian forces.

New British Cinema Quarterly (NBCQ) is a programme of films which screen across the UK, starting with 15 partner venues where a Q&A with the director, a cast member or a technician gives audiences and people interested in filmmaking the opportunity to meet those who have succeeded in doing just that.
