Valdivieso Merlot, Chile 2008
This is a great example of Chilean Merlot. It has lots of ripe, plummy fruit flavours, which are balanced by a touch of oak, adding some sweeter, vanilla flavours.

Altas de Ruesca Garnacha Els Pyraneus, France 2007
The grape variety used to make this wine is Garnacha. It is rich and concentrated with ripe, red fruit flavours and hints of spicy blackberries, plums and oak. It is made in the area close to the Pyrenees in Southern France.
