Saving a passing cat from being run over, Haru is amazed when he turns around and thanks her – and still more surprised when, later that night, a deputation arrives from the King of Cats inviting her to visit his kingdom.
This benign mog monarch turns despotic, however, when his demand that Haru becomes his bride is less than welcomed.
Only with help from a miniature sword-fighting tabby, the Baron, a large, round, silent cat called Muta and her own growing self-assurance can Haru escape.
