Gay cabaret owners Renato and Albin are persuaded by Renato's son (the product of a fleeting heterosexual relationship) to act straight in an attempt to pull the wool over the eyes of his fiancee's parents, the epitome of stuffy bourgeois rectitude.
Immensely superior to its two sequels.
