Set in a quaint suburban community in the Bronx, New York City, CITY ISLAND is a savage and hugely entertaining American indie comedy.
Written and directed by Raymond De Felitta (THE THING ABOUT MY FOLKS) - who has long explored his affinity with Bronx life on the big screen - the film follows the Rizzo family, a dysfunctional clan who are intimate but ultimately divided by their own deceitful temperaments.
When head of the household Vince (Garcia, NEW YORK, I LOVE YOU), a prison officer and privately aspirant actor, brings home a shady ex-con (Strait, 10,000 BC), he inadvertently kick starts an absurd sequence of events that will shatter the untrusting family dynamic.
