Synopsis

Featuring many of the hallmarks that have distinguished Neil Jordan's career (milestones include MONA LISA, THE CRYING GAME and END OF THE AFFAIR), BREAKFAST ON PLUTO marries the themes of religion and sexuality with Jordan's characteristic and fearless blend of comedy and high drama.

The film follows the exploits of Patrick Braden (Murphy, BATMAN BEGINS), an endearing but deceptively tough young man.

Abandoned as a baby in a small Irish town and aware from a very early age that he is somehow different, Patrick survives in his harsh environment through his wit and charm, plus a sweet refusal to let anyone change who he is.

Complementing Murphy's scintillating turn in the central role, Jordan regulars, including Rea and Gleeson, offer delightful cameo support.
