Synopsis

Rob Marshall, the choreographer who brought the 'unfilmable' CHICAGO to the screen, turns his attention to NINE, the award-winning Broadway musical loosely based on Fellini's semi-autobiographical masterpiece 8 ½. Instead of riding high on his greatest success, film director Guido Contini (Day-Lewis) is facing a midlife crisis.

With his creativity stifled he is struggling to complete his new film and to manage the demands of the many women in his life.

Adapted from the stage by the late Anthony Minghella, NINE features a truly stellar cast and glamorous, atmospheric recreations of '60s Italy.

It captures the spirit of Fellini's film with a vibrant, masterful blending of fantasy and reality, and some sensual, magnificently choreographed musical numbers.
