Synopsis

Four-time Academy Award nominee Bridges (THE MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS) turns in an Oscar-winning performance as Bad Blake, a broken down country and western musician whose past indiscretions tell of a tragically hardened anti-hero in search of escape from himself.

With a weakened but equally willing heart, Blake finds such salvation in the form of Jean (Gyllenhaal, AWAY WE GO), a journalist whose portrait of him leads her to discover an unseen tenderness to the man behind the music.

With an impressive array of awards and nominations already under its belt, all the signs point to first-time director Cooper's CRAZY HEART being a real contender this awards season.
