Synopsis

Of a similar ilk to MR AND MRS SMITH, KNIGHT AND DAY is a high-octane action-comedy centred on the exploits of a fugitive couple in a world where nothing is quite as it seems.

With Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz reuniting for the first time since 2001's VANILLA SKY, the film pivots on a blind date between a secret agent (Cruise) and a lovelorn girl-next-door type (Diaz).

What ensues is a perilous fight for survival that sees the pair navigate snow-tipped Alpine mountains and traverse tropical rain forests.

James Mangold (3:10 TO YUMA) has built up a reputation as something of a hit-and-miss director, but expect this to be a fitting preview to next year’s MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE sequel.
