Using City Screen’s expertise we can supply bespoke film programmes, and offer additional features such as the design and production of programme brochures and consultancy on all aspects of setting up and running a cinema.
FILM PROGRAMMING
City Screen Virtual is the film booking service of City Screen (Picturehouse Cinemas). Led by Clare Binns, a key figure in the UK film industry, our team of programmers has many years’ experience of tailoring diverse and commercially successful programmes.
We work with cinema owners and managers to select the best films from the increasing number that is released each week. The process is collaborative with a view to building on the cinema’s identity and ensuring healthy admissions and box office takings.
With the strong bargaining position that we have established with film distributors over the past 19 years, and co-operative buying, we have helped many cinemas to obtain the films they want at the best possible terms.
Five of the cinemas in The Guardian’s recent list of ’10 of the best….. independent cinemas in Britain.’ are programmed by City Screen.
Our current list of clients reveals a broad range of venues - from part time cinemas in art centres, to full time central London sites.
